Bottesford Station

Colt Construction Limited working with Network Rail has completed Bottesford Station works after 3 years of design, planning, and construction.

The major refurbishment of Bottesford Station was to upgrade the stations’ accessibility to DDA standards, improve passenger experience with full new lighting systems and resurfacing while rectifying/removing the differential heights of the platforms due to the historical Harrington hump.

·        Four new DDA compliant ramps have been installed.
·        Complete rebuild of the rear retaining wall on platform 2.
·        Both platforms have been fully refurbished with new coping stones, platform surfacing and drainage systems.
·        The platforms were irregular with unusable low sections, these have been brought into gauge so stopping trains are no longer restricted with limited door openings to certain carriages only.
·        The works were undertaken to sensitively tie in with the historic station building and local resident garden space tight to the back of the platform.
·        Installation comprised of platform stanchion lighting, Distribution Equipment, and GRP cubicle.
·        Notably stanchion lighting installed from the hashtag
hashtag#ThorluxStarbeam Smart Scan range provides both functional and emergency lighting requirements.
·        Custom-made GRP distribution enclosure installed from hashtag
hashtag#Fisher&Company.
·        The new lighting arrangements are designed and installed to the latest standards and beyond allowing remote access to monitor efficiency and operation.

Thanks to all involved in the execution and completion of a great project. 👍
